This page explains how the Anatomy Steward Wiki is organized.
The Anatomy Steward Wiki is a reviewed field wiki that supports the Anatomy Steward digital museum.
It has three jobs:
- Explain terms used in museum object records.
- Support teachers and visitors with clear definitions and observation prompts.
- Keep documentation, source, rights, and interpretation language consistent.
Main Sections

- Osteology — bones, skulls, teeth, limbs, vertebrae, and comparative structure.
- Preservation — preservation and representation as museum topics, not technical manuals.
- Collection Documentation — catalog numbers, source type, holding status, rights, and records.
- Museum Interpretation — labels, visitor questions, public trust, and non-sensational display.
- Teaching Use — observation prompts, worksheets, routes, and classroom activities.
- Contribute — reviewed suggestions, public sources, teaching uses, and image leads.
How This Supports the Museum
Section titled “How This Supports the Museum”The museum shows objects, exhibits, and learning routes.
The wiki explains the vocabulary behind them.

What This Wiki Is Not

- a specimen marketplace
- a technical preparation manual
- a wildlife collection guide
- a human remains resource
- a medical or clinical reference
